How durable is 2mm LVT flooring?
When understanding LVT flooring, you might be wondering if 2mm LVT is as durable as its thicker counterparts. And despite its thinner nature, 2mm LVT is just as hard-wearing as its 4 and 6mm cousins. However, as it is thinner, it does have a shorter lifespan, making it better suited for rooms with minimal foot traffic that still need protective flooring.
Is underlay needed for 2mm LVT flooring?
Built using modern LVT technology, the majority of expensive and budget LVT flooring comes with pre-attached underlays, meaning you don’t have to install one in addition to your new floor. However, you should check your chosen product before installation to make sure you don’t need to purchase one separately.
