How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Quick-Step Quick-Step Laminate Flooring in this range is built on an HDF core board and works with underfloor heating, so you can lay it over a warm subfloor without issue. You do need underlay beneath it.

Where it works

Ivory Oak suits living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, dining areas, hallways, landings and utility spaces. Its water resistance makes it a smart choice for rooms where moisture matters. You can also specify it for light commercial settings, thanks to its AC5 rating.

Fitting and care

Click boards lock together quickly, no glue required. Lay underlay first, then click the planks home. Wipe spills promptly with a damp cloth. The water-resistant surface resists staining and doesn’t swell like real wood.

Quick-Step backs this with a Quick-Step Impressive Ultra Laminate Flooring lifetime warranty for domestic use and 10 years for light commercial settings, so you can trust it to last.
