How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Seamlessly blending traditional aesthetics with modern functionality, the Royal Click Pro Distressed Oak collection is a premium brown oak SPC LVT flooring option.

Built to a robust 5.5mm thickness, which is perfect for spaces with regular heavy foot traffic, and coming with a 0.55mm scratch-resistant wear layer, it provides a durable and comfortable flooring foundation for any interior space.

By far its most captivating feature, however, is this floor’s distressed oak finish, which easily recreates the classic look of real wood with all the practical benefits of luxury vinyl flooring. Not only is it realistic in texture – coming with an R10 anti-slip rating – but its entirely vinyl construction means that it’s 100% waterproof!

And like many other LVT options, the installation process for the Royal Click Pro Distressed Oak collection is straightforward and efficient – provided you have previous floor fitting and DIY experience. Making use of an innovative click-lock system, this feature removes the need for adhesives during installation, resulting in a quick, clean, and surprisingly simple setup process.

Additionally, the built-in underlay of the Royal Click Pro Distressed Oak planks provides up to 19dB of sound dampening, further enhancing the floor’s soundproofing and thermal insulation properties.

Add to this the fact that these planks are all made from sustainable materials and free of harmful substances and the Royal Click Pro Distressed Oak collection becomes not just visually appealing but also a safe and eco-friendly flooring option that’s ideal for anyone seeking a blend of style, durability, and practicality in their floor.

“Beautiful floor so easy to lay and cut. Makes every room look much bigger,”

Josie Smith Verified review

“We have previously used Quick Step but the Royal Click Pro was a great price. The flooring is more rigid than the Quick Step but was very easy to lay. All in all - a very satisfactory experience with Flooring King.”
