How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Lano Star Twist Elite in Torchlight is a warm medium orange carpet that brings a cosy feel to any room. The plain twist pile gives it a clean, contemporary look that suits both modern and traditional homes.

Built from polypropylene, this carpet is tough and practical for family living. The dual backing adds stability underfoot, whilst the 10mm twist pile holds its shape through daily use. Best of all, it’s bleach cleanable, which means spills and stains are easy to tackle without worry. This makes it ideal for busy households where accidents happen.

This carpet works well in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and on stairs. The warm Torchlight tone pairs nicely with neutral walls or as a statement piece in a feature space.

Installation is via gripper fitting, which is the traditional method that keeps the carpet secure. You’ll need underlay beneath it for comfort and to protect the backing. The carpet is compatible with underfloor heating systems, so you can add warmth without issue.

Keep the carpet fresh by vacuuming regularly. For spills, the bleach-cleanable surface means you can use standard cleaning solutions without caution. A 10-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, giving you confidence in your choice. Lano carpets like this one combine practical durability with real style, and polypropylene carpets offer excellent value for active homes.
