How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Vanguard Sumptuous in Slate Grey brings soft, sophisticated colour to any room. The dark, muted tone suits living spaces, bedrooms and hallways alike, working just as well in contemporary schemes as period homes. At 13.5mm pile height, it feels generously thick underfoot without the weight that makes fitting awkward.

The real win here is the bleach-cleanable backing. Spill something on this carpet and you’re not locked into waiting for a specialist. You can grab a cloth, use ordinary household cleaner, and get on with it. If you have kids, pets, or just want peace of mind, this matters.

Where it works

Slate Grey suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and landings. The dark shade hides everyday marks well, making it practical as well as attractive. It’s not waterproof, so keep it away from bathrooms and wet areas.

Cleaning and upkeep

As one of the Bleach Cleanable Carpets, you can clean this with diluted bleach or oxygen-based cleaners for stubborn stains. Vacuum regularly to maintain the pile. A 7-year warranty covers manufacturing faults.
