How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Cityscape is a medium grey twist carpet that takes spills and stains in its stride. The bleach-cleanable finish means you can tackle marks without fear, making it a real choice for homes with children, pets or heavy footfall. The 9mm twist pile sits firm and bouncy underfoot, and the plain weave keeps the look clean and current in any room.

This polypropylene carpet arrives on a 25m roll and sits at 11mm thick overall. The 2400g/m2 pile weight gives it substance and durability. It’s gripped down during installation, and you’ll need underlay beneath it. Underfloor heating works fine with Cityscape if your subfloor has it.

Cityscape works across bedrooms, living rooms, dining areas, halls and landings. Stairs take it well, and its classification 23 rating means it handles moderate use in light commercial settings too. The Vanguard Pinnacle Twist carpet range sits in the mid-market, and Cityscape is one of the plainest, most practical shades on offer.

Keep it clean with a regular hoover and spot-clean spills as they happen. The bleach-cleanable feature sets this apart from standard carpets, and a 15-year warranty backs your purchase.
