How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Vanguard Eminence Smoke is a medium grey carpet with soft underfoot comfort and genuine stain resistance. The plain weave works with nearly any room scheme, from bedrooms to busy hallways. It’s polypropylene fibre, which means you can clean it with bleach if spills or marks demand it.

This is practical flooring for family homes and rental properties. The cut pile sits at 10mm with a dense 1150g/m2 weight, giving it substance without bulk. Smoke grey hides dirt between cleans and suits both period and modern interiors.

Vanguard Eminence Smoke suits bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, landings and stairs. The bleach cleanable fibres make it a sensible choice for households with children or pets. It works over underfloor heating and needs underlay beneath it.

Fitted using gripper strips, it requires a suitable underlay to perform properly. The bleach-cleanable polypropylene resists staining and handles spills without fuss. Regular vacuuming and prompt blotting of wet marks keep it looking fresh for years.
