How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Heckmondwike Supacord in Cobalt is a light blue plain-weave carpet tile built for commercial spaces. The colour sits well in modern offices and breakout areas. You get a practical, hard-wearing floor without fuss.

The tile uses polyamide, polypropylene and recycled polyester for durability and sustainability. At 7mm thick with a pile weight of 3670g/m2, it takes daily foot traffic in its stride. The bitumen backing keeps tiles locked in place and adds stability underfoot. Each pack covers 5m2 and includes 20 tiles, each 500mm square.

Supacord is graded for Use Classification 33, which means it handles moderate to heavy commercial use. The low light reflectance value of 6.85 adds visual warmth to light and darker schemes alike. Underfloor heating is compatible if your office layout calls for it.

Where it works

These tiles suit offices, meeting rooms, reception areas and other commercial settings. They’re equally at home in Commercial Carpet Tiles schemes as standalone Carpet Tiles for smaller spaces. The plain style blends with any décor.

Installation and warranty

Tiles are laid loose-lay with bitumen backing for quick, straightforward installation. No specialist tools or adhesive needed. Heckmondwike backs Supacord with a 15-year commercial warranty, giving you real peace of mind. Fast delivery is available to get your floor down and your space ready.
