Heckmondwike Supacord Amethyst

Heckmondwike Supacord in Amethyst is a medium-toned blue-green carpet tile that sits between practical and polished. The plain weave keeps the look clean and professional, perfect for office spaces and light commercial settings where you need colour without fuss.

These tiles deliver real substance underfoot. At 7mm thick with a pile weight of 3670g/m2, they take foot traffic and hold their shape. The mix of polyamide, polypropylene and recycled polyester means they’re durable without the cost of pure natural fibre. Bitumen backing keeps them stable and prevents movement, whether they’re laid on concrete or prepared subfloors.

A 500mm x 500mm format makes layout straightforward. You get 20 tiles per pack, covering 5 square metres. That modular approach means you can plan rooms more easily and replace individual tiles if wear or damage occurs, rather than re-laying an entire floor.

Where it works

• Open-plan offices and meeting rooms
• Reception and breakout areas
• Retail and hospitality spaces
• Light commercial environments

Rated for Use Classification 33, Supacord sits at the threshold between general commercial and heavy-traffic zones. It’s robust enough for corridors and customer-facing areas without overengineering the cost for quieter offices.

The Amethyst shade works well in contemporary schemes. The blue-green hue is calm enough to recede as a neutral backdrop, yet distinctive enough to define a space without pattern clutter. Pair it with white or pale walls to let the colour breathe, or darker furnishings to anchor a more dramatic look.

Installation and compatibility

These are standard carpet tiles, laid loose-lay or gluedown onto prepared floors. Underfloor heating is compatible, so you can install them over warm-water systems without thermal issues.

Maintenance and warranty

Vacuum regularly to keep dust and debris from settling into the pile. Spot-clean spills with mild detergent and water. The 15-year commercial warranty covers manufacturing defects, giving you confidence in the investment.
