How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Heckmondwike Broadrib brings a rich claret tone to your office or commercial space. This deep red shade adds warmth and formality to formal meeting rooms, reception areas and executive zones. The plain weave sits neat and professional, and the 7mm pile absorbs sound and feels substantial underfoot.

The tiles deliver genuine hardwearing performance. Suited to medium to high foot traffic, Broadrib meets Use Classification 33, so it stands up to the demands of busy offices and commercial settings. The polyamide and recycled polyester blend is tough and retains its colour over time. Each 500x500mm tile weighs enough to sit flat without fuss, and 20 tiles per pack cover 5 square metres.

Specifications

Size: 500 x 500mm
Pile weight: 3670g/m2
Thickness: 7mm

Broadrib works in offices, corridors, breakout areas and other medium to high traffic commercial zones. It performs equally well on underfloor heating systems, so you can fit it over warm floors without worry.

Installation is straightforward. Lay the tiles directly onto a clean, dry, level subfloor using the bitumen backing. No complicated adhesives or grout lines needed. Once down, they stay put and won’t shift.

Keep the tiles clean with regular vacuuming and the odd spot clean with a damp cloth. Professional deep cleaning extends their life further. The 15-year commercial warranty covers wear and defects in normal office use, giving you confidence in this investment.
