How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Heckmondwike Broadrib Marble is a clean, light carpet tile that works hard in busy offices and commercial spaces. The plain white finish suits corporate schemes and modern interiors alike. Tiles are 500mm squares, 7mm thick, with a heavy pile weight that resists wear and foot traffic. Bitumen backing keeps them stable underfoot and prevents movement.

These tiles perform at Use Classification 33, fit for general commercial and office settings where activity runs high. You can lay them over underfloor heating systems without worry. A pack of 20 covers 5m², making coverage straightforward to calculate and quick to install.

What’s in the pack

The mix of polyamide, polypropylene and recycled polyester fibres gives the tiles durability and easy cleaning. In a busy office, simple vacuuming and spot treatment keep them fresh. If a tile picks up stains or damage, you swap just that square rather than replacing the whole floor, which saves money and hassle.

Heckmondwike Broadrib carpet tiles carry a 15-year commercial warranty, so you’re covered for defects and wear. Whether you’re fitting out an open-plan office, a reception area or a call centre, Heckmondwike Broadrib Carpet Tiles deliver reliable performance.
