How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

The Floor Hub Americana Carolina is a light grey carpet tile made for offices and commercial spaces that take hard wear. Its plain weave and needlefelt pile give it a clean, neutral look that fits into most workplace schemes. The 4.37kg per square metre pile weight means it holds up well under foot traffic. Underfloor heating works with it, so you can warm the room beneath.

Specification

Size: 500mm x 500mm per tile
Thickness: 9.5mm
Pile height: 4.0mm needlefelt
Pile weight: 4370g/m2
Backing: Bitumen
Pack size: 20 tiles per pack (5m2 coverage)
Material: Polypropylene
Use classification: 31 (heavy commercial)

The bitumen backing sits firm on any level subfloor and resists moisture in the backing layer. The tiles are straightforward to fit and replace, which makes them ideal for spaces where you need to swap sections out without fuss.

Where it works

Carolina suits offices, call centres, retail back-of-house, warehouses and other commercial settings where durability matters. Carpet Tiles for Offices are a smart choice for businesses because you can repair a single tile without lifting the whole floor. Light grey tones hide dust and wear marks, a real plus in busy spaces.

Underfloor heating and installation

The tiles work with underfloor heating systems. Lay them as loose lay or use a thin-set adhesive. The bitumen backing helps them stay in place. Make sure your subfloor is level, clean and dry before you start.

Looking after it and guarantee

Vacuum regularly to lift dust from the needlefelt pile. For spills, blot straight away. A damp cloth works for light marks. The 10-year commercial warranty covers wear under normal use. The Floor Hub carpet tiles are built for the long haul in hard-working environments.
