How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. The Floor Hub Expression Remark is a neutral beige carpet tile built for commercial offices and busy workspaces. Its plain loop pile gives a clean, professional look and hides wear well across high-traffic areas.

Each tile measures 500mm x 500mm with a 3.2mm pile height and 6.3mm overall thickness. The nylon construction resists stains and wear, backed by bitumen for stability underfoot. You get 20 tiles per pack, covering 5m2, with a pile weight of 4400g/m2 for durability and comfort. Sound insulation rates at 25dB, cutting down office noise and footfall.

These tiles suit commercial settings and offices where appearance consistency matters and cleaning is straightforward. They’re compatible with underfloor heating, so you can warm your space without replacing your floor. Classification 33 means they handle medium to heavy commercial use. The Floor Hub carpet tiles come backed by a full 10-year commercial warranty, giving you real peace of mind.

Lay them using standard Carpet Tiles fixing methods. The loop pile is naturally forgiving for cleaning, and spills wipe away easily before they set. A quick vacuum keeps them looking fresh, whilst occasional spot cleaning handles stubborn marks. Bitumen backing resists moisture and holds the tiles firm, so they stay flat and safe underfoot.
