How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Oberon from The Floor Hub’s Transmission 2.0 range is a dark blue patterned carpet tile built for commercial settings. The loop pile construction in nylon keeps its look under foot traffic, whilst the modest 1.7mm pile height and 5mm thickness give you a stable, level surface underfoot.

The bitumen backing locks each tile in place. If you need Carpet Tiles for Offices that work with underfloor heating, these tiles are compatible, so your heating system runs without risk.

Where it works

Oberon suits offices, meeting rooms, corridors and commercial spaces where foot traffic is steady but not extreme. The dark blue tone hides marks and dirt well, cutting cleaning time. Pattern detail masks wear, keeping tiles looking fresher longer. Choose from The Floor Hub carpet tiles to match your scheme.

Looking after it

Vacuum weekly to remove dust and debris. Spot clean spills as they happen with a damp cloth and mild soap. For deeper cleaning, a commercial carpet shampoo works well in offices with high footfall.
