How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Transmission 2.0 Floras brings a bold, dark patterned look to commercial spaces. The deep black tone works hard in open-plan offices, breakout areas and busy reception zones where you need a finish that hides wear and keeps looking sharp. This is carpet tile flooring built for the job, not an afterthought.

The loop pile sits at 1.7mm high with a hefty 4140g/m2 weight behind it. Nylon fibre and bitumen backing handle the foot traffic of a working office without flinching. The LRV of 4.8 means low light reflection, so the space feels grounded and professional.

Specifications

5mm total thickness, 1.7mm pile height
Nylon loop pile with bitumen backing
Pile weight 4140g/m2
Use classification 33 (medium-heavy commercial)
Underfloor heating compatible
10-year commercial warranty

Offices, corridors, retail spaces and other commercial settings all suit this tile. It’s not suitable for bathrooms or areas prone to water splash. Commercial Carpet Tiles from The Floor Hub carpet tiles come in dozens of colours and patterns, but Floras delivers the durability this range is known for.

Installation and care

Lay the tiles loose or glue them down depending on your subfloor. They work with underfloor heating. Vacuum regularly to keep pile upright and shift loose dirt. A light damp-mop handles spills, but the non-waterproof backing means you must wring cloths out thoroughly. The 10-year commercial warranty covers wear and wear-related issues in normal office use.
