How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Waters Edge is a light blue speckled sheet vinyl from Altro Illustra Adhesive Free that brings a calm, modern look to bathrooms and kitchens. The fine speckled effect works well with neutral and contemporary schemes, adding subtle visual interest without fuss. It’s waterproof, so it handles moisture and standing water without damage or swelling.

The R10 anti-slip rating makes it safe underfoot when wet. This is essential in bathrooms and WCs where slips matter. The material is durable PVC, rated for Class 34 and Class 42 use, so it handles both domestic foot traffic and light commercial settings like care homes and small business kitchens.

Waters Edge works in bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and commercial spaces. It sits loose-lay, so no adhesive is needed. This makes fitting quick and reversible, ideal if you want to change it later. No underlay is required either, which keeps costs down and fitting simple. The vinyl suits underfloor heating systems, so you can run warm floors underneath without worry.

Clean it with a mop and mild detergent. The water-resistant surface shrugs off spills and frequent wet cleaning. Altro backs the product with a 10-year warranty, giving real peace of mind. If you’re looking at Altro Vinyl Flooring options, this range combines safety, practicality and a subtle design that suits modern homes and light commercial use.
