How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Oak Pinot Black brings real oak character to your home without the upkeep of solid wood. Pack contents: 9 planks covering 3.663m2

The multi-ply engineered construction keeps the boards stable and flat, which matters if you’ve got underfloor heating or fluctuating moisture. This flooring works with heating systems, and you’ll need to lay underlay beneath it to create the right base.

Where it works

Suited to hallways, kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. The dark tone handles everyday traffic well and works brilliantly in busy homes, offices and utility areas. Browse the full Parador Classic 3060 range to see how it sits alongside lighter oak options and other finishes across the collection.

Installation and care

Click fitting makes installation straightforward, without the mess and wait time of glued floors. Prepare a clean, level subfloor, lay your underlay, and boards slot together smoothly. The matt lacquer resists everyday marks and wipes clean with a soft brush and dry mop. For deeper cleans, use a damp cloth wrung out tight. Avoid standing water, and wipe spills immediately.

Engineered wood flooring like this combines the authentic oak look you want with the dimensional stability and ease of care your home needs. The 25-year warranty backs your investment.
