How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. The Floor Hub Intertwine Knit brings a soft, neutral beige to office and commercial spaces where durability counts. The light shade and subtle knit pattern create a calm backdrop that doesn’t show wear easily. Loop pile sits at 2.0mm, giving you a firm, springy feel underfoot without fussing over visible footprints. Nylon fibre takes the daily foot traffic and holds up in busy corridors, meeting the rigorous demands of modern workplaces.

This tile suits Carpet Tiles for Offices and retail environments where a soft, inviting finish beats hard flooring. The overall thickness of 5.3mm sits comfortably over most subfloors. Bitumen backing gives it stability and noise control. Individual tiles measure 500mm square, sold in packs of 20 giving you 5 square metres per box. Pile weight of 3800g/m2 means the fibres are dense and won’t flatten quickly.
