How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. View Full Specs

Forbo Tessera Accord Magic Carpet 4700 is a patterned loop-pile carpet tile in medium dove. The solution-dyed polyamide holds its colour without fading and sits on a polyester backing that grips underfoot. This is a working floor for offices, corridors and retail spaces where durability and noise management matter as much as look.

The pile weighs 605g/m2, dense enough to handle foot traffic and reduce sound by 24dB. At 6.4mm thick with a loop construction, it resists matting and bunching. Pattern helps hide wear and soil, so you’re not showing every mark after a month.

Specifications

Tile size 500mm x 500mm
Thickness 6.4mm
Loop pile, 605g/m2
Material polyamide, backing polyester
Pack size 4m2 (16 tiles per pack)
Solution-dyed, LRV 15
Sound reduction 24dB
Monolithic installation

The solution-dyed fibre means colour runs through the pile, not just on the surface. Stains sit on top rather than soaking in. Clean it with standard commercial vacuuming and spot-treat spills as they happen.

Where it works

Suited to commercial settings where you need grip, sound control and a floor that keeps its colour. Office spaces, retail areas, busy corridors and light-traffic commercial zones all benefit from the pattern and pile weight. Not for domestic use or wet areas.

Installation

Monolithic fixing. Lay tiles directly onto a suitable prepared subfloor. No underfloor heating compatibility noted.
