Tessera Accord carpet tiles are Forbo’s patterned option for commercial settings. Each tile measures 500mm square and sits 6.4mm thick, glued down to the floor. All 12 colours across the range are solution-dyed polyamide, which means the colour runs all the way through the fibre. This makes them hold their looks far longer than printed alternatives, even in heavy-traffic areas.

The range comes in six colours: grey (five variants), beige (three), and single options in black, brown, green and blue. The patterned design helps hide footprints and dust between cleans, which is why commercial spaces favour it.

What makes them suit offices and shops

These tiles are made for commercial use. They carry a 10-year warranty and are castor chair approved, so they take the roll of an office chair without marking or crushing. Sound insulation runs to 24dB, which muffles footsteps and conversation in open-plan layouts.

Fit them in reception areas, corridors and workspaces. The glue-down system holds each tile firmly in place, and because they are individual squares, you can replace a single damaged tile without lifting the whole floor.

Choosing your colour and pattern

Grey dominates the range with five shades, giving you scope to match different interior tones. Beige offers three options for lighter, warmer spaces. If you need something bolder, pick black, brown, green or blue as an accent or to tie in with your brand colours.

The pattern texture works across all shades. It sits subtle enough not to date, yet distinct enough to mask marks that would show on a plain tile.

Fitting and performance

Glue them down to a smooth, clean subfloor. The 6.4mm thickness works with most floor heights and won’t bump against existing door frames. They are not waterproof, so keep them away from wet areas or rooms with high moisture risk.

Solution dyeing means stains sit on the surface rather than soaking in. A quick vacuum lifts dirt and dust. Spills wipe away more easily than they would from printed surfaces.
