Tessera Create Space 1 are commercial carpet tiles made by Forbo. They come in 500mm squares, 5.5mm thick, and lay down with glue. Every tile is polyamide, patterned, and rated for commercial spaces where people move around, sit down and roll chairs across the floor. The range spans 18 styles across grey, black, brown, green, blue and beige, so you can match your office, retail space or public area to your brand or décor.

These tiles work hard. They carry a 10-year warranty and sit on a base that soaks up sound, reducing it by 25dB. Chairs roll freely on the surface without damage. Lay them in any order, mix colours to design a floor that sets your space apart, and swap out worn tiles later without ripping up the rest.

Colour options and pattern choices

Grey leads the range with five styles, giving you neutral grounds for any setting. Black comes in four options for sharp, modern looks. Brown, green and blue each appear twice, letting you add warmth or accent colour. A single beige tile rounds out the palette for softer spaces. Mix and match tiles to build a custom design, or run one colour through for clean, simple coverage.

Fitting and the commercial fit

Glue each tile down to a clean, dry subfloor. The 500mm square format makes layout fast and straightforward. If one tile takes damage months or years down the line, lift it out and replace just that one, not the whole floor. The Castor Chair Approved spec means office chairs roll and swivel without wearing through or marking the surface.

Sound and durability

The polyamide pile and 25dB sound rating cut footfall noise and equipment hum, which matters in open-plan offices, call centres and busy retail. Pile sits on a stable base that holds up to daily wear. A 10-year commercial warranty covers the tile if it fails under normal use, giving you peace of mind over the long term.
