How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Alsafloor Allure Berlin Oak 901 brings a soft, contemporary oak look to your home. The pale grey-brown tones work well in modern rooms and classic schemes alike. It has a registered emboss texture that mimics real wood grain, paired with micro bevels on each plank edge for subtle visual depth. This is laminate that looks authentic without the maintenance of solid timber.

The construction uses a 10mm HDF core, making it tough and stable underfoot. With an AC6 wear class rating, it handles daily life in homes and light commercial settings. The water-resistant surface stands up to kitchen spills and bathroom moisture better than standard laminate, though standing water should always be wiped away promptly.

Where it works

Berlin Oak 901 suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms in domestic homes. The AC6 rating also makes it suitable for light commercial use, such as small offices or retail spaces where foot traffic is moderate. The water-resistant finish gives it an edge in wet-prone areas, though you should avoid prolonged moisture exposure.

Installation

Alsafloor Allure uses a click-lock system for straightforward fitting. Planks lock together without glue, making the job faster and reducing mess. A well-prepared subfloor and standard underlay will ensure a stable, quiet floor. Check the specific fitting guide before you begin.

Looking after it

Sweep regularly to remove grit and dust. Clean with a lightly dampened mop only; excess water damages the core. For stubborn marks, use a laminate-specific cleaner. The flooring carries a 35-year commercial warranty, giving you real peace of mind against wear and defects. The Alsa Flooring Allure range from Alsa Flooring is built to last.
