How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

Doha Oak brings warm, neutral tones to any room. Its soft mid-brown grain looks like real timber, with a subtle registered emboss that catches the light. The micro bevelled edges add definition and depth underfoot. This is laminate that reads premium yet works hard in family homes.

Alsa Flooring Allure suits living spaces, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens where you want a tough floor that won’t show wear easily. At AC6, it handles everyday traffic with ease. The water-resistant core makes it safe around the kettle and in bathrooms where moisture risk is low. Light commercial settings such as offices and retail spaces also work well with this product.

Installation

This is a gluedown laminate. Fit it over most subfloors, including concrete, timber and vinyl. The 10 mm thickness and solid HDF core mean it sits flat and stable. Underfloor heating is compatible, though you must follow the manufacturer’s guidance on temperature control to protect the product.

Looking after it

Sweep and vacuum regularly to lift dirt and grit. Wipe spills with a damp cloth, then dry at once. Do not flood the floor or leave standing water on it. Laminate does not absorb moisture like real timber, but prolonged wet contact will damage the core. Clean with laminate-specific products only, never oil or wax.

Alsa Flooring Allure carries a 35-year commercial warranty, which covers wear, staining and fading in normal domestic and light-commercial use. This guarantee reflects the durability built into the product.

Warm oak-look laminate with micro bevelled edges, AC6 durability and water-resistant core for kitchens and living spaces.
