How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Aristotle 702 is a water-resistant laminate that brings lasting colour and depth to busy rooms. The Alsa Flooring Solid Plus range suits kitchens, hallways and living spaces where you need flooring that handles splashes, dust and daily wear without fuss.

At 12mm thick with AC6 wear rating, this is built for homes and light commercial settings alike. The micro bevelled edge gives each plank subtle definition, whilst the registered emboss adds texture that hides dust and footprints. Click installation means you fit it yourself without glue, and it sits on any sound, level subfloor.

Specifications

Thickness: 12mm
Length: 1286mm x Width: 214mm
Pack covers 1.651m2 (6 planks)
HDF core board with registered emboss surface
Micro bevelled edges
Water resistant (not waterproof)
AC6 wear class, use classification 23, 33
Click system, no glue needed

The water-resistant finish stops surface moisture soaking in, so spills wipe clean and the plank stays stable. In a wet kitchen or bathroom splash zone, it outperforms standard laminate. Heavy staining or prolonged water exposure will still mark it, so wipe up properly and keep drainage clear around wet areas.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum weekly. Damp-mop with a well-wrung cloth and a squirt of laminate cleaner if needed. Never flood the joints or leave standing water. For long-term peace of mind, your Aristotle 702 carries a 35-year warranty against wear and fading.

Alsa Flooring Solid Plus is a robust choice across the board. Whether you pair it with Alsa Flooring Solid Plus in other finishes or mix it with other Laminate Flooring ranges, you know what you’re getting: a real-wood look that lasts.
