How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Bolero Oak brings warm, medium tones and natural grain detail to any room. The micro bevelled edge catches light and adds subtle depth, whilst the registered emboss texture gives it a real wood feel underfoot. You get the look of solid oak without the upkeep.

This is a click laminate, so fitting is fast and straightforward. The HDF core board is tough and stable, rated AC6 for commercial and domestic wear. Water resistant, it shrugs off spills and splashes in kitchens and bathrooms. Each plank is 1286mm long and 214mm wide, with 12mm thickness that sits flat and feels solid when you walk on it.

Bolero Oak works in living rooms, kitchens, hallways and commercial spaces that see regular footfall. The warm oak finish suits both traditional schemes and modern open-plan layouts. As part of the Alsa Flooring Solid Plus range, it pairs well with other finishes if you want to zone different areas.

Installation is straightforward with the click system. Fit it over most flat substrates, including concrete and timber. Check that your subfloor is level before you start, and allow the planks to acclimatise for 48 hours. Laminate Click Flooring needs no glue, so you can lift and reuse it if you move.

Keep it clean with a soft brush and a damp cloth. Wipe up water quickly and avoid standing pools. The 35-year warranty covers both domestic and commercial wear, giving you real peace of mind. Bolero Oak is a floor that looks good and works hard.
