How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Sandalwood Oak 465 brings warm, honeyed tones to any space. The herringbone pattern adds geometry and movement without clutter. Micro bevelled edges catch light and emphasize the grain, while the registered emboss gives the look of real wood texture under your foot. You get the style of traditional flooring without the maintenance headaches.

As part of the Alsa Flooring Solid Plus range, this laminate is built for busy homes and commercial spaces alike. The HDF core and AC6 wear class mean it stands up to foot traffic, pets and spills. Waterproof and water-resistant laminate flooring makes it safe for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways where water is a real worry.

Specifications

Thickness: 12 mm
Plank dimensions: 644 mm length, 143 mm width
Pack coverage: 1.197 m2 (13 planks per pack)
Edging: Micro bevelled
Surface: Registered emboss texture
Wear class: AC6

Click fitting makes installation quick and straightforward. No glue, no fuss. The herringbone pattern requires a bit more layout care than a straight plank, but the method itself is standard click-together.

Keep it simple: sweep and vacuum regularly, wipe spills fast, use a damp (not wet) mop for routine clean. The water-resistant core protects against splashes, though standing liquid is never your friend. A 35-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, giving you peace of mind for the long haul.
