How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Sandalwood Oak 465 brings a soft, warm grain to any room. The pale honey tones and subtle wood character suit modern and period schemes alike, whilst the micro-bevelled edge adds quiet detail without fuss. Unlike real oak, this laminate resists water splashes and wears without the upkeep.

Pack size: 1.651 m2, six planks per pack
Surface: HDF core with registered emboss texture
Edge detail: Micro bevelled

Water resistant throughout

Where it works

This flooring suits living rooms, hallways and kitchens in family homes. The water-resistant core handles the odd spill without swelling, making it practical for busy spaces. Its light tone opens up smaller rooms and pairs well with pale or neutral décor. As an AC6 rated product, it can also be fitted in light commercial settings such as offices or retail environments.

Installation

Sandalwood Oak 465 uses click-lock joints, so no glue or nails are needed. The planks lock together quickly, making it ideal for DIY fitting or professional installation. It suits standard timber or concrete subfloors and works with underfloor heating systems.

Looking after it

Wipe spills promptly and sweep or vacuum weekly. Use a laminate-specific mop on damp cloth only; standing water will damage the surface. The Alsa Flooring Solid Plus range comes with a 35-year domestic warranty and 35-year commercial warranty, covering wear, staining and fading under normal household use.
