How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Sunset brings a warm, natural feel to any room. This laminate sits somewhere between pale oak and honey, with a subtle grain and registered-emboss texture that mimics real wood without the need for sanding or sealing. The micro-bevelled edges add gentle definition between planks, giving it a more authentic look than flat-surface laminates.

At 12mm thick with an HDF core, Sunset takes the wear and tear of busy household life. Its AC6 rating means it handles heavy domestic use and light commercial settings alike. The water-resistant surface stands up to splashes in the kitchen and moisture in bathrooms, though it’s not fully waterproof, so standing water should still be wiped away promptly.
