Altro Aquarius Blue Penguin

Blue Penguin brings a calm, cool aesthetic to any space. This speckled medium blue sheet vinyl sits comfortably in kitchens, bathrooms, WCs and commercial settings where safety and durability matter. It’s a real-world choice, not a showpiece.

The R11 anti-slip rating keeps grip underfoot, whether it’s wet tiles in a busy kitchen or a hospital corridor. At just 2mm thick, it sits flat and stays put. The scrim backing locks it to the floor once glued down, so no movement, no buckling.

Waterproof by nature, Blue Penguin takes spills and moisture without flinching. Its speckled finish hides the everyday wear that flat colours announce. Clean it when it needs it, nothing fussy.

Where it works

Bathrooms, kitchens and WCs are its natural home. Schools, care homes, dental surgeries, restaurants and other commercial spaces where wet or contaminated floors are the norm also rely on it. Underfloor heating compatible too, so warm underfoot in spaces that need both grip and comfort.

Installation

Glue it down to a clean, smooth subfloor. No underlay needed. The scrim backing gives you something to work with, and the material sits well against underfloor heating systems if that’s in your plans.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum regularly to lift grit and dust. Damp-mop with warm water and mild detergent when needed. Spills wipe clean straightaway. The waterproof surface shrugs off moisture, so wet environments pose no threat to integrity. Ten years of commercial warranty backs up the build quality.
