How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Touchstone is a warm medium brown sheet vinyl with soft speckled texture. It sits comfortably in contemporary kitchens and bathrooms where you need both grip and ease of clean. The loose-lay installation means no adhesive, no mess, and no fuss when fitting. Waterproof throughout, it brushes off spills and stains in seconds.

The R10 anti-slip surface keeps grip even when wet, making it a natural choice for bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and commercial settings where safety matters. That speckled brown tone hides minor marks well, so your floor stays looking fresh longer.

Where it works

Bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and light commercial spaces all suit this sheet. Its waterproof core handles damp without swelling or degrading. If you’re fitting over concrete or timber with uneven heat from below, Touchstone pairs with underfloor heating systems without issue.

Installation

Loose-lay fitted. Roll it out, trim, and go. No adhesive needed, no underlay required. The weight and anti-slip backing hold it fast to the subfloor. You can lift and reset if needed. Suits timber, concrete and screeds that are clean and dry.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum to clear loose grit. Wipe with a damp mop and mild detergent for stains. The waterproof surface stops moisture penetrating, so spills won’t leave rings or stains. Backed by a 10-year warranty against wear and defect.
