Altro Illustra Clay Bed

Clay Bed is a medium grey speckled vinyl that brings practical safety to spaces where slip risk matters. The textured surface keeps its grip when wet, holding an R10 slip rating that works in bathrooms, kitchens, washrooms and light commercial settings. You get a real-world safety floor without the fuss of tile or the maintenance headaches of natural stone.

This 2mm sheet vinyl sits on a PVC backing and has a 0.7mm wear layer built to withstand daily foot traffic. It’s fully waterproof, so spills and steam won’t damage the core. Sound insulation of 4dB helps keep noise down underfoot, a real benefit in busy spaces or flats where sound carries. Better still, it works with underfloor heating systems, so you can add warmth without tearing up the floor.

Installation is straightforward glue-down, with no underlay required. The 2m roll widths make it flexible for different room shapes, and the whole range of Altro Illustra Safety products fits together visually. If you’re looking at Altro Vinyl Flooring more broadly, this one covers the safety brief.
