Altro Illustra Gentle Twist

Altro Illustra Safety Vinyl in Gentle Twist is a grey crosshatch safety floor built for wet areas that get heavy use. The dark to medium shade sits well in kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces where slip resistance matters. At R10 anti-slip rating, it grips even when wet, and at just 2mm thick, it fits directly over most substrates without building up the floor.

The crosshatch texture hides marks and gives your boot grip on damp tiles or kitchen splash zones. It’s waterproof all the way through, so spills and steam won’t warp it or seep underneath. The 0.7mm wear layer takes daily scuff and traffic without thinning out across years.

Where it works

Bathrooms, kitchens, toilet blocks and commercial settings all suit Altro Illustra. Its R10 slip rating makes it a wise pick for rest homes, hospitals, canteens and any high-traffic wet environment where safety is the first call. Use it in staff areas, public facilities and staff kitchens where the floor has to stay gripped when wet.

Installation

Glue Gentle Twist down onto flat, sound subfloors using a suitable vinyl adhesive. No underlay is needed. It works with underfloor heating systems, so you can pair it with warm floors in kitchens or bathrooms without worry. The 2m roll width cuts waste on smaller rooms.
