Altro Illustra Soapstone

Soapstone is a light concrete-look vinyl that brings understated texture to any space. The soft grey and white tones work in modern kitchens, clinical bathrooms and busy commercial areas alike. It looks hard and practical without the cold feel of true concrete. Best of all, you get R10 slip resistance and full waterproofing without losing that subtle, restful aesthetic.

This is a 2mm sheet vinyl with a 0.7mm wear layer, supplied in 2m roll widths and 20m roll lengths. It sits in Class 34 and 43 for domestic and heavy commercial use. The PVC backing is backed by a 10-year commercial warranty, so it’s built to last in kitchens, bathrooms, WCs and beyond.

Soapstone suits underfloor heating systems, so you can warm your tiles without ripping anything out. No underlay is required. Fitting is glue down, which locks the sheet firmly to your subfloor and keeps movement out. Installation is straightforward and the seal is permanent.

Waterproof right through, this vinyl handles spills, splashes and wet feet with equal ease. Everyday cleaning is simple: a damp mop and mild detergent keep it fresh. Stains lift without fuss. In high-traffic zones, the 0.7mm wear layer holds its colour and texture year after year.

Altro Illustra Safety is part of the Altro Illustra Safety range, which blends aesthetic appeal with the slip resistance that kitchens, bathrooms and commercial settings need.
