How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Altro Walkway 20 in Tango is a vibrant red safety sheet vinyl with a speckled finish, designed to keep you safe underfoot in wet areas. It grips firmly even when floors are soaked, thanks to its R10 anti-slip rating. The rich, medium-toned red suits modern kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces where durability and grip matter.

At 2mm thick, this PVC flooring is tough enough for daily wear in busy kitchens and washrooms. It’s fully waterproof, so spills and splashes won’t damage it. Underfloor heating works with it too, so you can add warmth without fuss. The scrim backing keeps it stable during fitting and after.
