How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Waterfall brings a calm, speckled blue to spaces where safety matters. This Altro Walkway 20 sheet vinyl keeps its grip even when wet, with an R10 anti-slip rating that gives feet traction where it counts. Waterproof through and through, it shrugs off splashes, spills and daily soaking without warping or lifting.

The medium-blue tone works as a practical backdrop in kitchens and bathrooms, or keeps commercial kitchens, WCs and wet-use spaces safe and easy to clean. It is a no-fuss choice when durability and slip-resistance are not optional extras.

Specifications

Anti-slip rating: R10

Installation is straightforward glue-down, and the flooring sits happily over underfloor heating without any underlay needed. Scrim backing keeps it stable underfoot and ready to bond with standard floor adhesive.

Where it works

Bathrooms and kitchens are the obvious fit, but Waterfall also handles wet commercial settings, utility rooms and WCs. Busy spaces with splash, steam and muddy feet all find this vinyl both practical and reliable. Altro Vinyl Flooring ranges offer options for every wet zone and high-traffic area.

Looking after it

Wipe spills as they happen and sweep or damp-mop regularly. The waterproof surface needs no special coatings or sealers. Stains lift easily, and the finish stays slip-safe through years of use. Altro backs this with a 10-year warranty, so you can trust it to hold up.
