How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Altro Xpresslay Waterfall is a medium-blue safety sheet vinyl with a subtle speckled finish. It brings a cool, clean look to practical spaces without fuss. The R10 anti-slip surface grips underfoot even when wet, making it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and commercial areas where safety and durability matter.

The 2.2mm PVC construction is fully waterproof. There’s no underlay needed, and it sits loose-lay on your subfloor, so fitting is straightforward. If you have underfloor heating, Altro Xpresslay Waterfall works with it.

Sound is dampened at 7dB, so steps stay quiet. The speckled texture hides everyday wear and marks well, keeping your floor looking fresher for longer.

Bathrooms, kitchens and WCs gain obvious benefits from this waterproof sheet vinyl flooring. The R10 safety rating and tough finish suit commercial kitchens, care facilities and other wet-work areas where slip resistance is mandatory. Speckled finishes also hide dirt in high-traffic hallways.

Installation

Altro Xpresslay flooring uses loose-lay fitting. Simply unroll it across your prepared subfloor and trim to fit. No adhesive, no underlay. It’s compatible with underfloor heating systems, so you can add comfort without changing the floor.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum weekly to clear grit. Damp-mop with water and a mild detergent. The waterproof surface resists stains and moisture, so spills wipe away quickly. A 10-year warranty backs your investment.
