Altro Xpresslay Whale

Altro Xpresslay Whale is a practical, blue-toned speckled vinyl that brings real safety and ease to any kitchen, bathroom or wet space. The medium-shade colour masks everyday marks whilst the speckled pattern hides minor wear, so it looks fresh for years. An R10 anti-slip rating means secure footing even when floors are wet, and the material is fully waterproof to handle splashes and steam without any fuss.

The beauty of this flooring is its loose-lay installation. No adhesive needed, no mess, just unroll it and it sits flat on your subfloor. Setup takes a fraction of the time and cost of traditional sheet vinyl or other Sheet Vinyl Flooring options. The loose-lay method works because the weight and texture of the material hold it in place.

Features and use

Waterproof construction means bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and commercial kitchens all suit this vinyl perfectly. It performs equally well in busy household spaces or light commercial settings where Commercial Vinyl Flooring standards matter. The R10 slip rating gives you safety when feet are wet or when spills happen, a real advantage in any kitchen or bathroom.

Underfloor heating is compatible with Altro Xpresslay Whale, so you can warm floors without worry. No underlay is required for loose-lay fitting, which keeps both installation time and total cost down.

Looking after it

Maintenance is straightforward. Wipe spills quickly, sweep away loose debris, and mop with warm water and mild detergent. The waterproof surface resists stains and the speckled finish keeps the floor looking even when dirt settles. Your 10-year warranty covers manufacturing faults, giving you peace of mind from the moment it’s laid.
