How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

Avesso Classic Brushed Horizon is a warm, naturally textured oak floor with gentle hand-brushed detailing that catches the light. The rustic grade means subtle grain variation and character marks run through each plank, giving your room an honest, lived-in look rather than a polished showroom feel. Oiled oak needs less maintenance than raw wood and lets the grain breathe.

This is 14mm engineered wood flooring, so it sits stable underfoot even with temperature swings and underfloor heating. The real oak wood flooring wears well in family homes, kitchens and hallways without the fuss of solid wood. A 3mm wear layer and multi-ply construction mean it handles daily life. Tongue and groove joints fit tight, whether you float, nail or glue it down.
