Avesso Classic Heritage

Avesso Classic Heritage is an engineered oak floor with natural rustic character. The oiled finish brings out the grain and colour variation you’d expect from real oak, without the upkeep of solid wood. At 125mm wide and plank lengths from 300mm to 1200mm, the pieces sit comfortably in most rooms and won’t dominate the space.

The 10mm thickness and 2mm wear layer handle everyday traffic well. This is engineered construction, so it stays stable underfoot and works with underfloor heating too. You can fit it floating, nailed or glued down, whichever suits your subfloor and your skill level.

Where it works

Heritage suits bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, kitchens and hallways. Engineered wood flooring for hallways is a popular choice because it handles traffic, and engineered boards stay flatter than solid wood even when humidity shifts. You can also lay it in offices and utility rooms. It is not waterproof, so keep standing water off it in wet areas.

Installation

Choose floating, nailed or glued installation to suit your existing subfloor. Tongue and groove edges lock the planks together for a tight fit. 14mm engineered wood flooring offers a thicker option if you want extra feel underfoot, though this 10mm board is a standard choice and performs well. Optional underlay smooths the base and adds warmth.

The board works with underfloor heating systems, so if you are upgrading a heated room or planning one, Heritage fits the job.

Looking after it

The oiled finish gives a matte look and ages gracefully. Sweep or vacuum regularly to keep grit off. Damp-mop with a wood floor cleaner and soft cloth when needed.
