Avesso Design Balanced Natural

Avesso Design Balanced Natural is a herringbone oak floor with a soft, smoked finish that sits somewhere between pale honey and warm grey. The rustic grade grain is real and varied. Planks run from 300mm to 1200mm in length, so each piece sits differently in the pattern. A 3mm wear layer and lacquered top coat give it everyday toughness without the upkeep of solid wood.

This engineered construction handles kitchens and hallways well, plus living spaces, bedrooms, dining rooms and even offices or utility rooms. It takes underfloor heating too, so it works in most homes and layouts. The tongue and groove fit means you can nail or glue it down depending on what suits your subfloor and the room.

Installation

Tongue and groove joints let you nail or glue down. Glue-down suits concrete or old solid floors. Nailing works on timber joists. It takes underfloor heating, so it’s happy with modern heating systems. Optional underlay can add comfort and a small acoustic benefit, though it’s not required.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum regularly. Wipe spills quickly with a barely damp cloth. Use a pH-neutral wood floor cleaner, not general-purpose sprays. Avoid standing water. The lacquered finish shrugs off daily wear, and the 25-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and structural failure.
