At 10mm thick with a 3mm wear layer, this Engineered Wood Flooring sits somewhere between budget and resilience. The rustic grade means knots and grain variation are part of the design, adding character without pretence. Micro bevelled edges give definition to each plank. An oiled finish brings out the wood’s natural warmth and sits well in period rooms or contemporary schemes alike.

You can nail or glue this floor down depending on your subfloor and preference. Tongue and groove joints lock planks together securely. Herringbone Engineered Wood Flooring sits well over underfloor heating, so warm feet are an option. Underlay is optional, which saves cost on solid subfloors.

Looking after it

Oiled finishes need care but reward it with depth. Wipe spills quickly. Sweep regularly and mop with a damp cloth sparingly. The oiled surface will show dust and water marks more than polyurethane, but develops a patina you might grow to love. Avesso backs this floor for 25 years against manufacture faults.
