How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. City Skyline is a medium grey carpet that brings calm to any room without the fuss. Its plain Saxony weave has a subtle depth that suits everything from contemporary to traditional schemes. The real advantage here is the bleach-cleanable finish, so spills and marks come out fast rather than leaving stains.

The 13mm Saxony pile feels soft underfoot but stands up well to wear. With a pile weight of 2400g/m2 and 15mm total thickness, it’s built to last in homes with children, pets and traffic. The dual backing gives it stability, while carpet of this quality class is rated for standard domestic use across all main living areas.

Where it works

City Skyline suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, halls and stairs. It’s ideal where you need colour that masks everyday marks. Use it in homes with underfloor heating, too. As part of the Balta Carpets range, this is quality carpet at a fair price.

Installation

Gripper installation, which is the standard method for domestic carpet. Underlay is required and will give you better comfort and performance. Fast delivery is available, so you won’t have long to wait.

Looking after it

Vacuum regularly to keep the pile fresh. The bleach-cleanable finish means you can tackle stains properly without worry. This matters when kids, muddy boots and life in general get on your floor. It simply washes cleaner than most.
