How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Balta Sublime in Vanilla Ice is a soft beige Saxony carpet with a relaxed, neutral look that suits most homes. The 13mm pile feels underfoot and keeps its appearance well in bedrooms, living spaces, hallways and stairs. What makes it stand out is the bleach-cleanable finish. Spill wine, drop a muddy shoe, bleach it out. You get a real stain fighter without the fuss of specialist cleaners.

The polypropylene fibre holds colour and resists soiling. At 2400g/m² and 15mm thick overall, it sits firm underfoot. Gripper installation is straightforward and fast. Underlay is needed, and the carpet works with underfloor heating, so you can run warmth beneath it without damage.

This is a Balta Sublime range carpet, part of their value-focused line. The classification is 23, which means it suits medium-traffic rooms across the home. Bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, halls and landings or stairs all work well. Ten-year warranty comes as standard.

Choose Balta Carpets for carpet that balances softness and durability. If stain-resistance matters, Bleach Cleanable Carpets give you peace of mind without compromise. Vanilla Ice delivers a calm, practical floor that handles family life.
