How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Condor Lazio Heather Platinum is a dark grey cut-pile carpet that brings understated elegance to any room. The soft, neutral tone works with modern and traditional schemes alike, and its plain weave keeps the focus on texture and comfort. At 10mm thick with a dense 8mm pile and 740g/m2 weight, it’s built to handle daily wear without flattening.

What sets this carpet apart is its bleach-cleanable finish. Stains and spills don’t have to spell disaster. A quick blot with a bleach-based cleaner lifts most marks, so you can keep it looking fresh even in busy rooms. It’s a real practical edge for families, pets, and high-traffic areas.

The Condor Lazio Heather carpet comes in 30-metre rolls and sits on a secondary backing. It’s classified for residential use (23), so it stands up to everyday footfall in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and stairs without complaint. Underlay is essential for both comfort and performance, so factor that into your fit.

Installation uses the gripper method, which is standard and straightforward. Note that it’s not compatible with underfloor heating, and it won’t shed or stain-proof your home from water damage. What it does is deliver a hardwearing, easy-clean surface at under £10 per square metre.

Condor backs this with a 7-year warranty, giving you peace of mind on your investment. Choose Platinum for a dark grey that absorbs dirt well and disguises everyday wear. It’s the thinking choice for households that want style and practicality in one.
