How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Condor Lazio Heather Sandstone is a light beige carpet that brings warmth and calm to any room. Its soft neutral tone works with most interiors, from modern minimalist to traditional schemes. The plain cut pile sits at 8mm with a pile weight of 740g/m2, giving it a dense, durable feel underfoot.

What sets this carpet apart is its bleach-cleanable quality. Spill red wine or knock over a cup of tea? You can clean it with bleach-based solutions without fear of colour loss. For busy households with kids, pets or frequent entertaining, that’s a genuine peace of mind.

The secondary backing and polypropylene construction keep costs down whilst holding up well to daily traffic. At 10mm thick total, it sits securely and feels substantial. The carpet comes in 30-metre rolls and requires underlay for proper fitting.

Where it works

Lazio Heather suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, halls and stairs. It’s classified for domestic use (23), so it handles the footfall of family homes well. The range of Condor Lazio Heather carpet colours all share this tough, practical approach, making them a solid choice across the home.

Installation and care

Lay it down with a gripper system and underlay as standard. Since it’s not waterproof, keep it away from bathrooms and areas prone to standing moisture. The bleach-cleanable property means you can handle most household stains confidently. For everyday cleaning, vacuum regularly and spot-treat spills promptly with warm water or mild detergent. When you’re choosing Carpet for high-traffic zones, this blend of durability, cost and stain resistance makes real sense.

The 7-year warranty gives you solid protection against manufacturing faults, though normal wear isn’t covered.
