How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Polysafe Verona in Dolphin Grey 5203 is a speckled medium grey sheet vinyl built for safety and durability. The R10 anti-slip rating keeps you secure on wet floors, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, offices and commercial settings where grip and protection matter.

This is a waterproof vinyl that handles spillage and moisture with ease. At 2mm thick, it offers solid protection for everyday wear and the rigours of a busy space. The glue-down installation method is straightforward and gives you a flat, stable finish. No underlay is needed, which keeps fitting simple and costs down.

Polysafe Verona comes in 20-metre rolls at 2 metres wide, so you can cover larger areas without too many seams. The speckled effect helps mask everyday marks and keeps the look fresh between cleans. Sound insulation of 19dB means footsteps and noise are dampened underfoot.
