How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

Honey Sherman Oak strikes a warm, light tone that brings calm to any room. The soft grain and natural plank effect look genuine, yet it skips the upkeep of real wood. Bevelled edges add subtle texture underfoot, and the water-resistant finish means spills wipe clean rather than soak in. This makes it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and busy family spaces where mess is routine.

Specifications

8mm thick, 1292mm long and 193mm wide planks
8 planks per pack, 1.99 m2 coverage
Bevelled edges for subtle definition
AC4 wear class, water-resistant surface
HDF core board construction

The Egger NatureSense Aqua range combines durability with style. AC4 rating means it handles high-traffic zones, and the water-resistant coating protects against splashes and damp. Click installation makes fitting fast, and underlay is included to settle the floor and cushion steps.

Where it works

This laminate suits bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, landings, stairs, utility rooms, WCs and home offices. The warm honey tone complements both modern and traditional schemes. Whilst it is water-resistant, standing water should still be dried promptly to protect the core.

Installation and heating

Click together the planks directly over a prepared subfloor with underlay underneath. The floor is suitable for underfloor heating, so it works well in homes with warm-water systems. No glue or nails needed, and you can lay it across most rooms quickly.

Looking after it

Honey Sherman Oak needs little fuss. Dust and vacuum weekly, and wipe spills straight away with a damp cloth. Egger backs it with a 25-year residential warranty and a 5-year commercial guarantee, giving real peace of mind.
