How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Dark Hunton Oak brings depth and richness to any space. The warm, medium-dark tone and subtle wood-plank grain work across modern and traditional homes alike. You get a genuine timber look without the upkeep that real wood demands, and this laminate resists splashes and spills.

The Egger NatureSense Aqua range pairs water resistance with AC4 durability, meaning it handles family life, kitchens and even light commercial spaces. Bevelled edges add a subtle detail that catches the light.

Where it works

Dark Hunton Oak suits kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms, dining spaces, halls, landings and stairs. The water resistance and durability make it ideal for utility rooms and offices too. You can fit it in light commercial settings as well.

Installation

Click fitting makes laying this laminate straightforward. It’s compatible with underfloor heating systems, so you can add warmth beneath. You’ll need underlay underneath to even out the subfloor and protect the planks.

Looking after it

Wipe spills promptly with a damp cloth and let it dry. Vacuum regularly to shift dust and grit. Avoid standing water and soak-clean mops. The water-resistant core helps guard against accidental splashes. Egger back this with a 20-year residential warranty and 5 years for commercial use.
