How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Light Baronia Oak brings warm, natural oak looks to your home without the upkeep of real wood. The soft, pale tone suits modern and traditional schemes alike. Wide planks and bevelled edges add depth and character. It looks premium, costs less, and stands up to spills and moisture in kitchens and bathrooms where standard laminate can’t.

This is water-resistant laminate, not waterproof. It shrugs off splashes and puddles. Wipe up wet mess promptly and it stays sound. That makes it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms where real wood would swell and rot.

Specifications

Thickness: 8mm
Plank dimensions: 1292mm long, 135mm wide
Pack size: 1.4 m2 (8 planks per pack)
Wear class: AC4 (heavy domestic use)
Edge detail: bevelled
Core: HDF board

Where it works

This laminate suits bathrooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, kitchens, landings, stairs, living rooms, offices and utility rooms. It’s tough enough for commercial spaces too, with a 5-year commercial warranty backing it.

Installation

Click fitting means no glue, no mess. Planks lock together tight as you work. Underlay is needed to smooth out subfloor bumps and dampen sound. The floor works with underfloor heating systems, so you can have warm feet without worry.

Looking after it

Wipe spills right away with a damp cloth. Vacuum or sweep regularly. Avoid standing water. A damp mop works fine for regular cleaning. The Egger NatureSense Aqua range carries a 20-year domestic warranty, backing the wear layer and core against defects.
