How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Berber Beige is a neutral, light-to-medium tone that suits any room scheme. It’s a plain loop pile carpet with real softness underfoot. The key feature is bleach cleanability, so spills and marks come out without fuss, and the stain-resistant finish keeps it looking fresh even in high-traffic areas.

Specifications

Pile height: 5mm
Thickness: 9mm
Material: polypropylene
Backing: secondary and felt back
Roll length: 30m
Warranty: 10 years commercial

The Balta Gala carpet range is built to handle busy homes. This version stands up to mud, mess and everyday wear. Soft fibres don’t wear thin quickly, and the loop structure resists matting.

Where it works

Berber Beige suits living rooms, dining areas, halls, landings and stairs. It’s equally at home in bedrooms. The neutral tone pairs well with most decor and hides dust and light soiling between cleans. Its durability makes it a sensible choice for hallways and stairs, where footfall is steady.

Installation

Underlay is required. The carpet fits most standard subfloors. It is not suitable for use over underfloor heating systems.

Looking after it

Vacuum regularly to keep pile upright and remove dust. For spills, blot with a cloth straight away. The bleach-cleanable property means you can use dilute bleach solution on stubborn stains, so marks lift without damaging the pile. Regular care and the stain-resistant finish mean this carpet keeps its looks for years. Balta Carpets come with a 10-year warranty, giving you peace of mind.
